At this point in time it (April 2023) I recommend installing a trailer hitch and going with a hitch mounted rack for your 2023 Honda HR-V as there aren't any trunk mount bike rack fitments confirmed yet and the 2023 model year is a new generation so it's harder to speculate that kind of fitment.
Once the Curt Trailer Hitch # C68DR is installed you'll have a Class I hitch with a 1-1/4" receiver - not only will this be more sturdy than a trunk mount rack, but it also means the rack won't be making contact with your vehicle and it will be easier to install.
For a bike rack I recommend checking out the Kuat Beta # B202-114 since it only weighs in at 12.6 lbs but can hold up to 40 lb bikes. The arms are closer together which reduces the need of the Adapter Bar # UB01 and the rack can fold up pretty compact so it won't take up much space in storage.
