Will The Advent Air For Replacement For Carrier Air Be Compatible With A Carrier Air RV AC System

Question:

I have a Carrier Model 68RV0010AA with ceiling part no. 99-00469-00 S#2409y85196 and roof top part no. 99-00468-00 or 01. Will the 15k BTU replacement work with this?

Yes, the Advent Air Replacement RV Air Conditioner for Carrier Setup # ACCAR150 comes with a wiring harness adapter that's designed to work with Carrier Air units so you'll be able to remove your current rooftop unit and swap it out with this one and still utilize your air distribution box and thermostat.

If you're doing this installation yourself you'll want to first remove the plenum (cover) on your air distribution box and see if the controller is located in the ceiling or up in the rooftop unit. If it's up in the rooftop unit you'll need to remove it from there and mount it in the ceiling since the Advent Air unit doesn't have the same metal cover over the condenser coils like most older units do so you'd have nothing to screw it to.

Other than that this is a super easy replacement, just undo the four bolts clamping the rooftop unit to the air distribution box and disconnect the wiring harness and repeat the steps in reverse order with the new unit.
