I recommend using the Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-524459-5 on your 2023 Ford Ranger. This base plate uses removable arms so when you are not towing you will still maintain a clean appearance on the front of your Ranger. The Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-676 is the tow bar I recommend using. This tow bar has integrated lights on the bars which will help with hooking up and disconnecting when it is dark.

The Roadmaster Accessory Kit for Nighthawk and Sterling Tow Bars # RM-9284-2 contains the wiring you will need for operating your tail lights on your Ranger. It also includes a storage bag, cover, spray lube, and locks to use with your connections. A Charge Line Kit # RM-156-25 is also needed to prevent your supplemental braking system from draining the vehicle battery.

If you are towing with a RV motorhome which has air brakes you will need the Demco Air Force One Supplemental Braking System # DM26VR. Otherwise the Demco Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # DM86VR is for motorhomes with hydraulic brakes. I find the Demco units are the easiest to use as they are permanently mounted to the towed vehicle. Both these systems also included a braking monitor you will be able to see in your motorhome to tell when the brakes are being activated and ensure the system is operating correctly.

Finally you may or may not need a high-low adapter to raise or lower the height for the tow bars. The tow bar needs to be within 3" of level from the RV motorhome to the front of your Ranger. It is available in different heights listed below.
