Hi! Im looking to equip a 2023 Volkswagen Tiguan with a trailer hitch and wiring. I can find the hitches, but cannot find anything to confirm which harness is best for a 2023 model. What do you recommend? Thank you.

The wiring I recommend for your 2023 Volkswagen Tiguan is the ZCI kit from Tekonsha:
- ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness # 119250KIT
This is a universal kit but what separates this from other universal options are the clamps used to make your wiring connections. Other kits use butt connectors so you have to literally cut the OEM wiring on your vehicle but the clamps are able to "sense" when to send power back to the trailer lighting.
To get you setup for towing I recommend going with the etrailer Trailer Hitch # e43ZR because of the hidden crosstube and matte black finish, along with the wiring brackets # 18144 and # 18140 so you can mount the 4-Way wiring connector next to the hitch receiver.
The last thing you need is a ball mount kit like the TowSmart Towing Starter Kit # TS64FR but you'll want to check out the linked ball mount article to make sure you get the right one for your towing application.
