Question:
I saw your response for 2022 Jeep Wagoner electric brake controller and I have an additional question..... My Series 1 does not have a receptacle under the drivers side dash. I had my dealer confirm that. Now one might ask, why would a car company advertise a vehicle that can tow 10,000 lbs BUT, it wont come with a brake controller hookup. Can your company install a controller? Thank you.

First we need to determine what all trailer wiring you will have on your 2022 Jeep Wagoneer. If you already have a 7-way the easiest option is to use the Tekonsha Prodigy RF Wireless Brake Controller # TK94FR which will use power off the charge line to power the brakes. It includes a wireless controller which will connect to a 12 volt outlet in your cab.
If you prefer a hardwired option and already have a 7-way I recommend installing the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED52VR with the Wiring Kit # 5506. The included wiring will need to be spliced into your 7-way and run to the front of the Wagoneer for power and splicing in the brake controller.
If you do not have any trailer wiring the Universal Wiring Harness w/ ModuLite and Brake Controller Harness # 22551 will allow you to install a 7-way on your Wagoneer. Then you will be able to connect the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED52VR with the Adapter # 331-TPH-017.
In the event you are located near our Wentzville, MO location you can contact our customer service department to discuss installation options.
