Question:

2000 chevy stepside the DZ8170 over all length is 69.75 ins. inside measurement of bed is 48 ins. that leaves 10 in overhang on each side seems like a lot to me just want to be sure no one shows the measurement of the bottom of the box.

I spoke with my contact at DeeZee about your 2000 Chevrolet Silverado Truck With the stepside. We do not have a crossover toolbox that would fit your truck but we do have other options.

I recommend the DeeZee Toolbox, part # DZ8546. this is a chest style toolbox made of rustproof Brite-Tread aluminum that measures 46-1/2 in long x 19 in wide x 15-9/10 in tall. Add 1 inch to the height to determine the clearance for the lid. this toolbox has handles on the sides to make it easier to remove form the bed of your truck or you can secure the toolbox to the bed of the truck with the included sheet metal screws.
