Can Uprights on Thule Xsporter Pro Ladder Rack be Lifted Up and Out Easily

Question:

I need a rack that easily removes so I can also haul my dirt bike in. This Thule xsporter raises and lowers its main supports arms but if you were to raise it all the way up, can you then raise it up and out of the fixed slider that it was in?

There is a cap on the bottoms of each of the uprights that adjust up and down. You would need to unlock and remove the caps to take the uprights all the way out. I have included a picture showing what the caps look like when removed. So yes, you can easily remove the uprights when needed. I have also included a link to a video showing a typical installation for you.
