Recommended Adjustable Height Truck Bed Ladder Rack for 2017 GMC Canyon

Question:
GMC Canyon 2017 rack height. Can the over all height of this rack be lowered by cutting off some of uprights? The rack is 27 1/4inch tall and I would like to lower it to around 23inch

The T-Rac Pro2 Truck Bed Ladder Rack w/ Over-the-Cab Extension - Fixed Mount - 1,000 lbs - Full Size # TH37002XT-EX would have a voided warranty if you were to cut the uprights to customize the height. This customizing may also effect the weight rating of the rack.
