I have a 1978 Jeep CJ5 that I am wanting to flat tow. I have the original style stock front bumper. I am looking at the Demco Classic mounting brackets. Under the description it says attaches directly to the chassis. I’m trying to figure where that would happen or do the mount on the face of the bumper?

The Demco Classic Base Plate Kit part # DM9518112 which is a fit for a 1978 Jeep CJ-5 installs onto the bumper, via drilling. I have attached for you below the installation instructions which goes over this in detail. I have attached for you below some other parts you need to setup the vehicle.
