To lock the Blue Ox Adjustable 2-Ball Mount # BLU75XR to your trailer hitch and the ball mount to the shank section I recommend picking up the Curt Lock Set # C23556. This includes a standard locking hitch pin as well as one that's a bit longer. This will give you enough security to deter any opportunistic thieves.
