Expert Reply:
To install a brake controller in our customer's 2022 Dodge Durango that has a 4-way currently will require a 7-way adapter/brake controller install kit and a brake controller. If the guy wants a standard brake controller I would recommend the P2 part # 90885 which is widely considered to be one of the best controllers due to how reliable it is and how well it performs. To install this controller you'd need the # ETBC7 which was designed for this type of controller.
If they instead might be interested in a wireless controller like the Curt Echo Mobile part # C51180 you'd use the install kit part # ETBC7L instead. This has advantage of a lot less wiring for install and doesn't require mounting a brake controller on the vehicle dash. The controller would be programmed and controlled from the customers cell phone.
