The best hitch for your 2021 Grand Design 22 MLE XLS Imagine travel trailer is going to be the Curt RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch item # E-100. This hitch is custom fit and bolts directly to your Grand Designs rear bumper with included hardware.
The Curt RV Bumper 2" Trailer Hitch item # E-100 has a 2" receiver. It has a 3,500 lbs gross towing weight and a 350 lbs maximum tongue weight. This hitch is made in the USA and weighs only 11 lbs.
I have linked an installation video below and attached a couple of pictures so you can see what this hitch will look like once installed and the easy process to get it hooked up to your bumper.
For the best bike rack to use behind a travel trailer, I recommend the Swagman E-Spec Bike Rack item # S94FR. This bike rack is strong enough to be used behind any motor vehicle or trailer. It has been reinforced to withstand the extra vibration and stress being mounted on the of the trailer adds.
The Swagman E-Spec Bike Rack item # S94FR has a 70 lbs per bike capacity. It fits a 2" class III hitch and weighs 60 lbs. This is a frame mounted bike rack with padded hooks on ratcheting arms. It is especially great with bikes that have nontraditional frames and fenders. It fits tires up to 3" wide. If you have larger tires you will also need the Fat Tire Adapter Kit for E-Spec Bike Racks item # S64679.
