Can Dutton-Lainson Deluxe Roller Bunk # DL21741 Be Installed Directly On Current Wooden Bunk

Question:

Can these roller bunks be attached directly ontop of the existing bunks, I am assuming using lag bolts into the existing bunk would be fine, are there holes in the bottom of the bunk channel for this purpose? The bunks I have are in fine shape, I would prefer to have roller bunks just for ease of loading and unloading the boat.

The Dutton-Lainson Roller Bunk # DL21741 that you referenced can be installed directly on top of your existing wooden bunks. According to the installation instructions when mounting over wooden bunks a 3/8 inch diameter lag screw is required.

The roller bunks are equipped with several sets of mounting holes.

The roller bunks are 5 feet long and 4-3/4 inches wide and come with 12 sets of 3 rollers. In the attached picture I have the dimensions of the rollers for you. They are made out of 12 gauge steel with a galvanized finish and have non-marking rubber rollers. These bunks have a 3,000 lb weight capacity.
