The best brake controller for your Suburban is going to be the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Brake Controller item # RED63RR. This is a proportional brake controller that activates your trailer's brakes when your Suburban decelerates.
The reason the Tow-Pro Liberty is the best option is because of its unique installation method where the only visible portion is the control knob that's about the size of a nickel. The main unit is hidden away inside your dash to be completely out of the way and out of sight.
The Redarc has a 3-Axis accelerometer that measures deceleration in all directions for precise braking and smooth, uniform stopping action. It is a proportional brake controller that in response to your Durango's braking action. It automatically adjusts the trailer's braking based on deceleration of your vehicle.
