To get your 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo E setup for flat towing you'll need a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. Here are my recommendations:

Braking System - Part # DM86VR (motorhome hydraulic brakes) or part # DM26VR (motorhome air brakes)
High-Low Adapter - See attached article (bracket height is 18-1/2")
I really like the look and ease of use for the etrailer base plate kit and matching tow bar, plus the tow bar comes with safety cables so that's one less thing you have to think about. The wiring splices in behind your tail lights using high-quality diodes to protect your OEM wiring and then the brake systems install permanently so they are easy to set up but they are also out of the way so you don't realize they are there during everyday driving.
