Question:
Other than the leaf quantity, what is the difference between these 6-leaf springs vs the 4-leaf springs that are meant for 5000-lb axles?

Expert Reply:
One of the biggest differences between the 6-leaf 5,000 lb trailer axle leaf spring part # UG34FR and the 4-leaf part # e44SR is the length. The 6-leaf setup is 30 inches long and the 4-leaf setup is 25-1/4 inches long. In general though the number of leaves doesn't affect ride quality or performance to a noticeable degree but when there's more leaves you end up with a taller trailer ride height if the spring is mounted above the axle.
