The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e98858 is a confirmed fit for a 2008 Toyota Highlander Hybrid. This is a great bolt-on option which provides a 2" opening that will be excellent for towing or hitch mounted accessories like a bike rack or cargo carrier.
Please note, if you'll be towing then you'll also need the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # C56217 and Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches part # C45554.
