Will the rack move out of the way when the back trunk lid is open or will i have to unload the bikes before i can raise the lid?

The Swagman XTC4 4-Bike Carrier for 2-inch hitches, part # S64665, does have tilting upright masts to allow hatch access when not loaded with bikes but the main horizontal structure can drop only to a level position (as with bikes loaded and going down the road). It does not tilt down below the level position. With your four bikes loaded you will not be able to open your rear hatch.
A better option for rear hatch access is the Yakima HoldUp 2-bike carrier # Y02443 partnered with the matching Plus 2 2-Bike Add-On # Y02446. Together these parts provide 4-bike carrying capacity with a total bike weight load capability of 200-lbs. I have linked videos for the HoldUp (and also the Plus 2) showing its ability to fold down below the level position (even when loaded) for cargo area access.
Another option is the Thule T2 Classic Platform-Style 4 Bike Carrier, part # TH9044-TH9046. This carrier also tilts down below its level position and has an integrated cable lock with One Key System lock cylinder to secure the bikes to the rack. A video on this carrier is provided.
Note that the type and size of the bike loaded nearest the vehicle may limit the rear door access. For example, a beach cruiser with wide handlebars may not allow the cargo door to open fully.
