Are The Weight Distribution Bars For the Fastway e2 Replaceable From 1,000LBS to 800LBS?

Hello. I have the Fastway 10k WD hitch, p/n: FA94-00-1061. My travel trailer hitch weight typically runs in 550lb to 650lb range, with a GVW around 6k. Id like to swap the 1k hitch bars with their 800lb bars to reduce the stiffness of the hitch when engaged. Can this be done without buying a complete replacement WD hitch? My concern is that Ive been reading about some travel trailers being damaged while using a WD hitch. Thanks.

Yes, you can change out the 1,000lb Round Spring Bar # FA94-02-1099 for 2 of the 800lb Round Spring Bars # FA94-02-0899. This will change your hitch from the 10,000LB Fastway e2 Weight Distribution # FA94-00-1061 to a 8,000LB # FA94-00-0800 which is rated for 400-800lbs of tongue weight. The Head Assembly # FA94-02-1055 works on all the Fastway e2 round bar weight distribution hitches.
