Can Round Bars of Fastway e2 be Upgraded from 800 to 1,000 lb

Question:

I have the fast way e2 round bar WD hitch setup from a different camper. The bars are marked 8,000/800. The dealer said I could use the entire setup from my older tt and installed the brackets on the new TT. New TT is 9000 loaded, 900 tongue weight. I need the 10,000/1,000 round bars I was told the head is the same from the 8,000/800 to the 10,000/1,000 unit. If so, can I just buy the larger round bars? I have been using the smaller bars for 3 years and just caught that I was undersizedand dangerous. Thank you

Hey Kevin, we do have the replacement spring bars you are looking for with the part # FA94-02-1099. This will replace your 800 lb bars you have now and give you a 1,000 lb bar like you need. The heads are the same so this will work with what you have now without problems.

I wouldn't say it's super dangerous to run an underrated WD system but you don't get the full benefits of it if you are beyond the tongue weight range of the system.
