Question:
So I got a small trailer from the father in law for free. Put a little money into it and now its looking great! But Im looking at new wheels and tires. Problem Im having, the tires are labeled 4.80/4.00-8. Which, correct me if Im wrong, means its an 8inch wheel. But the wheels from rim to rim measure 9. Can anyone help me out here? Am I measuring wrong? Lol Just want to pick up the right size before spend $100 on a set.

The wheel diameter is the bead seat to bead seat measurement. You probably measured the overall diameter which is why you got 9". If you look at the picture below where the # AM30060 tire diameter was measured you can see that the wheel is approximately 9" across. Based on that information and the fact that you know your current tire size is 4.80/4.00-8 you can use the # AM10004 as replacement tires for your trailer.
