Will the Yakima PowderHound Ski/Snowboard Carrier Fit a 2005 Volkswagen Touareg with Factory Bars

I have a 2005 VW Touareg with factory rail system and movable crossbars shown in aft position see picture. Will this ski rack fit my touareg? And if so, does it connect to the rail or clamp on to the crossbars shown in the picture? Thanks for help.

According to my contacts at Yakima, # Y03092 should fit your 2005 Volkswagen Touareg with factory crossbars.
If your skis or snowboards are 170 centimeters and under, then the spread of the crossbars and PowderHound center to center should be between 12 and 24 inches. However, if your skis or snowboards are over 170 centimeters then the spread should be between 12 and 36 inches. Please adjust your factory crossbars to the correct spread required for the skis or snowboards that you will be using. Also use caution opening the rear hatch of your Touareg with your skis or snowboards loaded.
You may also be interested in a tire step to help when loading or unloading your skies or snowboards. I recommend the Hitchmate Tire Step # HE4040. This tire step is adjustable in both height, and tire size. It is designed for use on SUVs, and will fit tires up to 12 inches wide.
