Quest for a 2inch ball, 1inch shank with 1-8 thread pitch. Balls that have a 1inch shank and a 1-8 thread count 8 threads for every inch of shank .

All of the 2" hitch balls with a 1" diameter shank that we carry are fine threaded so 14 threads per inch. A ball like the # 63845 comes with a lock washer and nut to attach it to a ball mount. Unless you need to thread it into something specific the thread count won't be an issue.

For the 1 inch diameter shank hitch balls like #63845 the fine thread shanks have 14 threads per inch and the coarse thread shanks have 8 threads per inch. Most are fine thread.

You will need a 1-1/2" wrench like part #C20001 in order to install the nut on the 2" Hitch Ball part #63845. A 1-7/8" wrench would be much too large.
