Jackets For The Sway Control Brackets To Reduce The Metal On Metal Contact Of Fastway/Equal-i-zer
Published 07/30/2022 >
Question:
I just got a e2 hitch system,on a camper I bought. On the L-bracket I have a rubber spacer/washer,for lack of another term, I cant find this in any videos, or parts manuals. I dont need one, I just need to know if I use this, or not. It shows signs of use, fits on the L-bracket perfectly. I thought I was supposed to have steel on steel friction control? This gives me steel on rubber. Looks like it will work fine.

While I have never seen them made of rubber there are the Sway Bracket Jackets # EQ95-01-5150 made of plastic. These were designed for those who found the noise to be excessive between the metal brackets and spring bars. They are made by Equal-i-zer and will fit your Fastway as they use the same sway brackets. It is only recommended for use with Equal-i-zer as they have the 4-point sway control. With the brackets being the only points of sway prevention for the Fastway you are at a higher risk of sway issues if you use these.
