Question:
can I hook up my solar panels with the 45 amp converter?
asked by: Rich R
Expert Reply:
Yes, the Progressive Dynamics Mighty Mini AC/DC Panel and Converter/Smart Charger - 45 Amp # PD4045KA will be wired separately from the solar system to the battery and has the ability to read the charge level of the battery, even when other systems are charging it, and adjust accordingly.
A lot of people think that just because it's an electrical system that solar power has to run through the distribution panel but it is typically just the panels to the solar controller and then directly to the battery.
