Replacement Solar Controller/Charger for Zamp Solar 30 Amp Charger

Question:

Hello, I currently have a Zamp Solar ZS-30A solar controller. The controller I believe has gone bad and may be overcharging my batteries. I’d like to replace this controller with a new one. I currently use 2 Trojan T-105, 6 volt batteries to produce 12 volts. My trailer has a 50 amp system and 50 amp Onan generator, if this matters. What controller do you recommend?

Hey Hugo, going with a 30 amp MPPT solar charge controller like the part # RS25FR would be the best choice. This is probably rated most ideally for the solar panels you have currently and it's an MPPT style which does a really good job charging the batteries. This also has a lithium charging profile like you need as well.
