Jeff Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this replacement 50 amp male RV plug. Now this part will replace a 50 amp male plug. This is a nice universal NEMA 14-50p plug. Works with any four wire 50 amp service.
And it is designed to accept any six gauge to eight gauge size wire. And when you wire it, you have your four screws here that you just unloosen and that'll loosen it and let you put your wiring hookups right in there. If you notice it has the nice three finger built in handle that makes unplugging it very easy. On a lot of these plugs that don't have this handle, once you plug it in it, it's in there pretty good. And when you try to pull it out, it's hard to do it.
So they have these three finger handle now to make it easy to unplug. It is ETL certified. The model again is E-D-5-0-7-P. Amperage is 50 amps. Voltage 125 to 250 volts.
But that should do it for the review on the replacement 50 amp male RV plug..

Plug worked perfectly, no issues!
The (prong side) plastic housing broke at the inset cable clamp bolt hole (pulled right through). I put in longer bolt/washer from the outside to clamp cable to the inside of cover.

This product is well made easy to work with and it comes with in instructions how to put the wire the plug.
It is worthy of the cost.
Great replacement, good instructions.
Nice firm housing with secure connections. Served well, except in the end grip on large insulation slipped enough to show individual wires. Just needed rewiring after 3-4 months of frequent use. Better than the yellow hardware store but about the same service life. Maybe it's usage.

I paid a little more for this plug, but so far I am impressed. I took the time to make the individual wires the proper length and everything fit as intended. Time will tell how it stands up to regular use.
The ground leg had broken off my factory OEM shore plug on my power cord. Cut the old plug off and replaced it with one of these; for less than $25, I replaced the plug rather than replacing the $300+ cord. Installation was straightforward, and the enclosed instructions were a great help (especially the wire lengths). As always, eTrailer saved the day (and the $$).
The 50 amp plug purchased provides a secure connection to the receptacle and is superior to the CAMCO product it replaced. Product was shipped and received as promised. Great job!
