Question:
Looking to swap all 4 electric brakes on our 1980s Sunline Travel Trailer. Sticker on them reads Kelsey Hayes 602027 and 602028. A previous thread asked the same question with the response below: The correct replacement braking assemblies for the Kelsey Hayes 602027 and 602028 is the Electric Trailer Brake Kit part # AKEBRK-35. These will be direct bolt-on replacement. I would add the Mounting Hardware for 10inch Brake Assemblies part # BRKH10B as well for a complete swap My question is around my axels - they are labeled as 2,750LB - and the product above is rated for 3,500lb - would these still work for me?

Expert Reply:
The Electric Trailer Brake Kit - 10 inch - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 3,500 pounds # AKEBRK-35 is the correct brake set up for your Kelsey Hayes 602027 and 602028 and even though your trailer is rated for 2,750 pounds the 3,500 pound brakes will work.
The driver's-side and passenger's-side electric brakes measure to be 10 inches by 2-1/4 inches. The brake pads are made of a durable friction material which provide an improved braking and longevity.
The brakes have an e-coated backing plate that resist rust. They fit up to 14 inch to 15 inch wheels.
The Nuts and Lock Washers # BRKH10B are sold separately.
I attached an installation video link below.
