Determining Replacement Trailer Hub For Long Chih LCI-880P Boat Trailer

Question:

I am trying to figure out which wheel hub assembly I need. Mine seized up. I have gotten it off, but cant find a part number on the bearings or the hub or the internet. The trailer is a Long Chih Model # LCI-880P. It is a 4 post hub assembly. I would prefer to replace the entire hub rather than just the bearings. Do you have a wheel hub assembly compatible with this model? Thanks

You will need to measure your spindle with a Digital Caliper # PTW80157 to find the bearing and grease seal sizes(see image). The information I was able to find shows that your spindle may use the Bearing # L44643 with a 1" spindle or it will use a 30205 metric size 25mm bearing. If you have the 1" spindle the Easy Grease Trailer Idler Hub Assembly # AKIHUB-440-2-EZ-1K to replace your current hub assembly.

If you have the metric size spindle I will be able to help you find a replacement axle that uses the more common 1" spindle. I will need the dimensions of your axle from hub face to hub face as well as the spring center to spring center.

@Michael We did not hear back on this inquiry to know what ended up working. I would recommend taking the steps listed above. I would pull your bearings to check if there are any numbers still legible. If you are not able to make out any numbers, you will need to measure your clean spindle using a caliper like # PTW80157. The graphic above is a great reference for determining what area to measure and where each component sits on the spindle.
