Solution for Using 12-Pin Trailer Connector With Vehicle 7-Way On M1102 Military Trailer
Updated 07/12/2022 | Published 07/08/2022 >
Question:
I am looking to purchase a M1102 Military trailer. My vehicle has a 7 PIN Female connector. The M1102 uses a 12 PIN Male connector. Do you have a kit to convert the 12 PIN Male connector to a 7 PIN or an adaptor to go from a 12 PIN Male down to a 7 PIN Male? Thank you for your help.

Expert Reply:
In order to connect your M1102 military trailer wiring to your vehicle 7-way you will need to cut off the 12-pin connector and replace it. Unfortunately, there are no specific kits or adapters that will allow you to use these two connectors together.
You will need to determine the correct functions with your existing wiring and connect the wires to a 7-way connector like the # A7WCB. If you prefer a connector with cable you could use the # H20046 instead.
I have attached some installation videos along with some helpful articles on 7-way wiring for your reference.
