Can Power Port on 2022 Volkswagen Atlas be Used to Install Curt Trailer Wiring Harness

Wouldnt it be possible to use the power at the rear drivers side cargo area 12V cigarette lighter power port? It is already fused as well Thanks!

That's a pretty common question as it is simpler than running the 12 volt hot lead to your battery, but you cannot use the drivers side cargo area power port on your 2022 Volkswagen Atlas to install the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C67WR.

The reason why is this is the only way to ensure your VW's wiring is not otherwise affected (by tapping into it) and that you have consistent 12 volt power.
