Recommendations for Reducing Noise On Fastway E2 Weight Distribution Hitch

I have the fastway E2 weight distribution hitch with 2 way sway control. The squealing is becoming extremely noisy when maneuvering through campgrounds. Is it acceptable to apply grease to the friction bars or to the L bracket to reduce noise?

The Equal-i-zer High-Performance Lubricant # EQ91-00-4250 can be added to the hitch ball and spring bar sockets on the hitch head of the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution # FA92-00-0800 to reduce the amount of squealing you are experiencing. Be sure to not apply this to the sway bar brackets on the trailer, instead you can use the Sway Bracket Jackets # EQ95-01-5150. These nylon sleeves allow for the bars to move quietly and easily slide on the sway brackets.
