Question:

Looking to upgrade my current RV hitch from the standard chain WD type to possibly the e2 system. My camper has a tongue weight of 680 pounds.cMper weighs right around 8000 - 9000 pounds. Do you have a recommendation on the model I would need? Or even a recommendation on another product. I am trying to limit the sway. Thanks

For the best system for your 680 lb tongue weight, whether that is loaded or dry weight is the Reese Strait-Line Weight Distribution w Sway Control # RP66084. This is due to the way the system is designed to not only control sway, but actively fight it. The spring bars and dual cams are designed to keep constant pressure on the alignment of your trailer to prevent sway before it occurs. Other systems do a good job of limiting sway, but the Strait-Line is proactive. For this system you would need hitch ball # A-90 for a 2 inch diameter or # 19286 for a 2-5/16 inch diameter ball.

If you are just wanting to further limit the sway compared to your weight distribution system without sway control, the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control # FA92-00-0800 will work well for you. For this system you will want one of the hitch balls listed above as well as the thin walled socket needed for installation on this system like # EQ70-00-4800 or # ALL643216.
