Hi, I have the Rhino Rack RVP27 Vortex crossbars on my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee. What types of hard shell cargo boxes would fit my crossbars? I’m also open to soft shells. Thanks

For a great hard-shell cargo box that fits your Rhino-Rack Vortex Aero crossbars, I recommend the Inno Box 2020 - 14 cu. ft. # IN86FR. The 2020 comes with a dual-opening lid to comfortably open the box from either side. Also, it comes an injected-mold construction to withstand debris impacts, scratches, and UV rays. Not only does this box attach to your Vortex Aero crossbars, you also have the proper crossbar spread required to mount the box. This is because I confirmed that with your previous order from us, you have chrome/black flush rails on your 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee. I went ahead and looked up those specs to confirm the crossbar spread compatibility.

In order to make sure you can fully open your trunk with the box installed, I recommend placing the front crossbar in the maximum front position that your vehicle allows. Then, you need to measure the length from the front crossbar to the line where the trunk and roof meet. As long as that measurement is at least 47-1/4" long, you are good to go! I went ahead and attached a diagram that shows how to conduct this measurement.
