For your 2010 Smart fortwo, you will need 5 basic items to flat tow, Base Plates, Tow Bar, Safety Cables, a wiring solution for your indicator lights and a supplemental braking system.

- Base Plates, Blue Ox Base Plate Kit, # BX1987
- Tow Bar, etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar for Blue Ox Base Plates, # e47ZR which includes needed safety cables
- Wiring, Tow Ready Tail Light Isolating Diode System with 4-Pole Connector, # TR118821
- Supplemental Braking, Brake Buddy Stealth Supplemental Braking System, # HM39530

Typically when you wire your towed car to get the signal lights required for towing, you will run a 4-way to the front of the car. This 4-way then has to be connected to your RV with a separate loop every time you tow. But with the Stealth, a wiring harness with a 4-way flat, vehicle-end plug is built into the back of the included 7-flat connector so that you can just plug in your towed car's tail light wiring kit.

To flat tow your vehicle behind your RV, you may need a tow bar adapter to adjust the height of your tow bar. The height of the tow bar, the "Safe Zone", is +/- 3" of level when the towed vehicle is connected to the RV. I have linked a help article below that walks you through the process.
