Question:

2001 Fleetwood Flair 31A. Springfield Oregon. I have an occasional electrical short tripping the GFCI. I think the wires are frayed at the point they enter the rubber cap plug that connects to the Hott Rod element. The heating element itself has been working fine. The wire has been bent sharply and pinched by the propane piping. Can I buy just a new cord with the plug cap attached that will fit onto my existing Hott Rod element?

The only replacement part available for the Hott Rod RV Water Heater Conversion Kit - Propane to Electric - 400 Watt - 6 Gallon # DGR6VP is the heating element # DGR6P2PB. Unfortunately, this means that the only option for a replacement cord with the plug cap attached is total replacement of the kit.
