Question:
We have our camper and monitors paired, saw a view while in the cab of truck. Plug the camera on trailer and no blue light or view. How do we proceed to troubleshoot this?

Expert Reply:
Your trailer is only going to have power running to the running light and reverse light circuits (one of which is powering your camera) while hooked up to the truck.
To bypass this you can wire the lights to the battery using two diodes # RM-792 (to prevent feedback), an in-line fuse # 55151, a switch # 37212225 to control the power running to the camera as needed, and some wiring. You'll want to splice the power wire from this switch together with the power wire already running to your camera so that it can receive power while you're plugged into the tow vehicle.
When not in plugging in to your trailer you'll want to ensure that you have this switch off to prevent your battery from draining.
