Replacement Hub for 4-1/8 Inch Long Idler Hub

Question:

Want to replace my trailer hub with AKIHUB-440-2-2k that is 4 1/4inch in length. My hub length is 4 1/8inch . Will your 4 1/4inch hub work as a replacement for my 4 1/8inch hub. Im concerned about the extra 1/8inch in length. What is the hub length or height of the 8-258BTUC1.

Both the # AKIHUB-440-2-2K and the # 8-258BTUC1 have a the same 4-1/4" length. This shouldn't be a problem, but you will need to know which bearings you have right now since these are different. They also have different bolt patterns so you will need to choose the right bolt pattern.

The # AKIHUB-440-2-2K is designed to fit a BTR spindle and uses # L44649 inner and outer bearings. It has a 4 on 4 bolt pattern. The # 8-258BTUC1 is for a BT8 spindle which uses # L44643 inner and outer bearings and has a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern.

If you have # L44649 bearings and need a 5 on 4-1/2 bolt pattern you can use the # AKIHUB-545-2-LFEZ-2K. If you have # L44643 bearings and need a 4 on 4 bolt pattern the only option would be the # AKIHUB-440-2-G-EZ-1K
