Question:

I hope to mount two of the Malone SeaWing Kayak Carriers saddle type onto the factory crossbars on my 2015 Mini Countryman. I like the sea wings because of how you can use the Malone stinger to help load the kayak onto the roof rack. But I need to transport two kayaks. I have a Delta 1210, and a delta 14. Do you know if this is possible? If not are there other recommendations you can make to transport these two kayaks on top of my Mini Countryman?

Since the Malone SeaWing Kayak Carrier with Tie-Downs # MPG107MD has a single clamp that goes around the crossbars you just need to make sure there is enough room to fit your kayaks side by side so the middles of each boat are over your crossbars. As long as you're able to do that then you can mount the SeaWings just fine.

The Stinger Load Assist # MPG350 is 10-1/2" wide so in order to use that you need the middle of your boats to be 5-1/4" in from the edges of your crossbars. If that won't work then a possible alternative is the Channel Loader # MAL48FR which mounts on the window of your 2015 Mini Countryman.

If this doesn't work then another option is to use the Malone DownLoader Kayak Carrier and TelosXL Load Assist w/ Tie-Downs # MPG114MD-351XL and then another DownLoader # MPG114MD for the second kayak. This load assist is a little different but it keeps you from doing all the heavy lifting at once.
