Will Curt Roof Rack Fit 2017 VW Tiguan With Factory Raised Rails

Question:
I recently bought a 2017 Volkswagen Tiguan, and I need crossbars to transport my kayaks. The ones I used on my previous Jeep were too long for the Tiguan. This product on your site says it is confirmed to fit the 2017 Tiguan: C18118.html But it says the crossbars are 53-3/8inch long, and when I measured between the roof rails on my Tiguan they're only 39 inches apart. So it seems like this product wont fit? Thanks!
