Question:

My wife is looking at the EXO system to use with our Mercedes Interstate 24 GT Class B RV. Will it swing away far enough to access the rear storage compartment for power cord and water hoses? Thank you.

To determine if you will be able to open your doors fully on your Mercedes Interstate 24 GT Class B RV you will need to measure from the center of the hitch to where the rear storage compartment open to. The Base # Y34VR is going to measure 29" from the center of the receiver to the locking pin on the hinge. It will also sit 8" above the top of the receiver to the top of the pin. The Cargo box on the Yakima EXO Swing Away Enclosed Cargo Carrier # Y62VR that you are looking at will sit further at 33-1/2" from the receiver center point when folded out.

I do recommend adding the License Plate and Tail Light Relocation Kit for Yakima EXO System # Y74VR for the additional safety the lighting will give you especially if you are parking your RV in the dark.
