Question:

I have a Shorelander boat trail for a 17 boat built maybe around 2001. I need hub grease seals. The old seals measure, with a tape measure, 2 1/2 OD. 1 3/4 ID. 1/4 width. What do you recommend? Thanks

It sounds like you have the Grease Seal # 58846 or Grease Seal # 168255TB on your Shorelander boat trailer. I recommend checking your grease seal for any stampings on the seal that may help to identify the correct seal. If you find any markings or if none are present I can reach out to Shorelander with your VIN to verify the correct size seal that would have been used on your axle.

You can also measure your spindle with a Digital Caliper # PTW80157 to determine which seal is correct for the spindle since the rubber on the seal can wear and give an inaccurate measurement.
