To know what door handle will actually fit your 2001 Four Winds Hurricane motorhome you'll have to remove the door latch assembly from the door and measure the cutout hole. You won't need to completely remove the assembly, but can simply unscrew the backing plate inside the motorhome and measure the cutout with the exterior plate still in the hole.

For example, the Bauer Products Motorhome Door Lock # BA64FR you were looking at requires a cutout hole 5-1/4" wide x 4-1/2" tall to install.

Just going off of the casing dimensions of the door latch could lead to you purchasing a latch with a similar dimension and finding out that it won't fit the hole and will require you to do some cutting or filling in.

I have a Four Winds Hurricane. I would like a keyless entry but cannot find one large enough. Couldn’t I resize the opening?

@NormanK Our keyless entry door latch options unfortunately aren't designed to work with motorhomes. Motorhome's have more regulations and require a different style of latch that fully encompasses the plunger to prevent the door from opening while on the road. There are a few companies, like Lippert Components, that you could reach out to for a compatible fit. You could resize the opening in your door but unless you're going larger it's going to be hard to find the right materials to fill in the hole and match your motorhome's paint job.
