I’m looking to put a platform over the bed of my 2021 F250 super crew, short bed 6 9 with a retrax pro xR cover and tracks. Can you confirm that a Rhino platform will directly attach to the rhino cross bars listed for the Retrax? And if there are any special parts needed to make this work? Or if there are any other kits products you would recommend. I’m looking to keep the platform as low as possible and have looked at yakima, front runner too high, and rhino. Thanks for your help.

Yes it will; you can absolutely add a Rhino-Rack Pioneer platform rack to the Rhino-Rack crossbars that will fit the tracks of the RetraxPRO XR tonneau cover for your 2021 Ford F-250 Super Duty short bed. If you don't have the parts, here is what you'll need for your truck, and there are two options for the Pioneer, depending on the size you want:
- RetraxPRO XR Hard Tonneau Cover # RTT-80383
- Rhino-Rack Vortex Crossbar System for Retrax XR Series and Mountain Top EVO-M Tonneau Covers # RRVA180B-RRRLT600
- Rhino-Rack Universal Pioneer Platform Rack for Crossbars - 48" Long x 38" Wide # RR42114BF or 58" Long x 47" Wide # RR42115BF
The two Pioneer Platforms will fit right on the crossbars, and you can use their included clamps or included T-bolts to mount them. This will give you the low-profile rack you are looking for, and you can tie-down your gear with the Rhino-Rack Ratchet Strap Kit # RR43175 or Eye Bolt Kit # RR43178.
