Troubleshooting Air Lift 5000 Air Bags Not Holding Pressure
Updated 03/25/2022 | Published 03/24/2022 >
Question:
I have, I believe, the 5000 rear axle Airlift air spring on my 2000 National Surf Side motorhome. It will not maintain air pressure above 45 psi. I’ve replaced the push-on connectors and tightened them to the point of concern. Is it more likely the air bag?

If you have ensured the connectors are in good working order and tight and that the air bag is receiving sufficient air, then yes it is likely that the air bag is in need of being replaced. The Replacement Air Spring for Air Lift LoadLifter 5000 Ultimate System # AL84201 would be the correct replacement if you do in fact have the Air Lift 5000 system.
I would recommend taking a look at your current air bags, there should be some identification markers on it so you can tell what system/air bags you have.
