What Kenda Tire And Rim Should I Get For My Yamaha Drive G29

Updated 03/15/2022 | Published 03/14/2022

Question:

Hi - I have a 2012 Yamaha Drive G29 unlifted gas golf cart and am shopping for replacement tires. Today it has its original Kenda Hole In One 18x8.5-8 Load B tires. Id like a little taller tire and my local Yamaha dealer suggests 205/65-10 tires would likely work since I do have extra stiff rear springs. On your web site I see two candidates, both Trailer Tires, your AM3H370 Load C tire, and your AM3H330 Load B. I do need new rims, and painted is fine. I am wondering why the Load C tires are $15 less than the Load B? I dont have any special needs, just drive it around trails, no big loads, and not on public streets at speed. What would be my disadvantage in the larger Load C tire and save some money? And, have you had OK experience with either of these tires on G29 carts like mine? Have any other makers or suggestions? Thanks very much!

I would recommend # AM3H370. It is a 205/65-10, 10 inch wide wheel with a bolt patter of 4 on 4. It has a load range C which has a maximum load of 1,100 pounds at 50 psi, with a speed rating M which is 81 mph.

There is no disadvantages of going to a larger load range tire. Both tires mentioned are the same quality but one can carry more then the other.
