Question:

I need snow chains to travel through Oregon. I found this product that supposedly will fit my 2019 F-250 super duty 4x4. Konig Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - D Link - XG12 Pro - Size 267 . Is this a single or pair of chains and will I need chains on all tires. I've never needed them before and its confusing. Now I need to find chains for my RV.

I went ahead and looked at your Ford owner's manual for your 2019 F-250. Ford recommends using Class-S tire chains, which are chains designed specifically for vehicles with limited wheel well clearance. Having enough space in your wheel wells are important because if there is not enough clearance, there is a huge potential for damage to any components in the wheel wells. Also, since the manual does not advise whether you should mount tire chains on just the front or rear tires, you will be able to use tire chains on all 4 of your truck's tires. For the best traction, I recommend using chains on all 4 tires.

With that information in mind, the Konig Self-Tensioning Snow Tire Chains - XG12 Pro - Size 267 # TH01594267 is an amazing choice for a few reasons. First off, these chains meet the Class S recommendation by Ford. Secondly, the chains come with anti-scratch nylon bumpers that protect your rims against any scratching or rubbing when in motion. Also, with these chains, they come with self-tensioners that take the headache away from having to tighten the chains after each and every trip. As far as required clearance, these chains require you to have at least 12mm of wheel well clearance in order to safely use these chains. I went ahead and attached a diagram that shows you how to conduct this measurement. It is also important to note that these chains only fit 2019 F-250 standard tire sizes of 265/70-17 and 245/75-17. If you happen to have different tire sizes on your truck, feel free to respond to this answer with you tire size, and I will happily provide you with a great chain recommendation.

As with all tire chain applications, I recommend consulting with your owner's manual to double check to make sure you are abiding by all of the manufacturer's guidelines.

As far as chains for your RV or trailer, we recommend tire chains for braked axles (as long as doing so does not go against the manufacturers guidelines). With that being said, feel free to respond to this answer with the size of your RV tires and the model of your RV, and I can recommend the correct fit for you.
