Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System - Spindle w/Brake Flange - Regular Tires - 2,000 lbs Item # ASR2000S02 Currently building a tear and looking for an axle that will work with my current design and has brakes. Saw this axle but no mention on what Timbren defines as a Regular Tire. Will this axle work with my current plans? The Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System - Spindle w/Brake Flange - Regular Tires - 2,000 lbs item # ASR2000S02 you referenced will work really well for your custom trailer. The regular tires in the product label is to differentiate from the Timbren systems that are for off-road tires.
The Dexstar Steel Mini Mod Trailer Wheel - 15 x 6 Rim - 5 on 4-1/2 - Black item # AM20545 and the Easy Grease Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly for 3.5K Axles - 10 - 5 on 4-1/2 - Pre-Greased item # AKHD-545-35-EZ-K will all work great together with that Timbren system.
For brakes I recommend the etrailer Electric Trailer Brake Assembly - 10" - Right Hand - 3,500 lbs item # AKEBRK-35R and Left Hand item # AKEBRK-35L. These measure 10" x 2-1/4" and will fit your 15" wheels. The brake pads are made of durable friction material for improved braking and longevity. The E-coated backing plate also resists rust.
You will also need the etrailer Trailer Wiring 7-Way Upgrade Kit w/ Junction Box and RV Style Connector item # HS381-9000. This kit includes a 7-way, blade-style, trailer-end connector you connect your trailer to your vehicle. The weatherproof, heavy-duty plastic junction box protects wires and terminals from the elements and provides a convenient way to connect your trailer's wiring.
Don't forget your brake wire the Deka Jacketed 2 Wire (Brake Wire) item # 12-2-1 is 12 gauge and sold by the foot.
