The Reese 5th Wheel Hitch # RP30051 is considered a compatible fit your your 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 6 foot bed. To install this 5th wheel square slider hitch you will need the installation kit composed of # RP30035-386.
The sliding operation of this hitch allows for additional turning clearance when using with short bed trucks. The trailer should never be towed with the slider in the rearward position. The sliding function is intended for low-speed maneuvering only.
Please note that this fifth-wheel trailer hitch is not intended for use with beds shorter than 6 feet. It also will not fit trucks with flareside/stepside beds. A minimum 13 inch extended trailer pin box is recommended. If using a slider, hitch will not adjust to lowest height setting.
I have provided links to the parts listed above as well as the installation instructions for the base rail kit, an a short video for your reference.
