Will a 175/80-13 Trailer Tire Fit the Same Wheel as a 185/80-13 Trailer Tire

Question:

Hi, my trailer take the ST185/80-13 but I bought the ST175/80-13 in mistake a while ago for the spare tire. Can i go to the shop and tell them to put the ST185/80-13 into the 13 inch wheel so everything is balance? Or do i need to buy a whole new ST185/80-13 wheel and tires. thank

Trailer tires in sizes 175/80-13 and 185/80-13 will fit the exact same wheel sizes. You can have the 175 mounted on the wheel and use it as a spare but you would not want to run different sizes for long. I have included a link to some trailer tire FAQ articles for you. One of them shows the 2 different sizes you have and that each will fit the same size wheels.
